About Me

About Me

Like any teenager born in the 21st century I was obsessed with social media growing up.  I made accounts on any platform you can think of, mostly to fangirl with other teenagers about my favorite TV shows and bands.

I got...really into it. Like, I was 14 years old learning HTML coding to update my Tumblr theme and looking at Instagram analytics to determine which One Direction posts performed best and got me the most followers.

When I went into high school, the passion I had for Doctor Who and Percy Jackson was channeled into a new cause: politics. As it turns out, watching Weekend Update every Saturday and basically living on Twitter during the 2016 election was enough to make even a 16 year old care about the world outside herself.

I took that passion and used it to put on events in my hometown that registered people to vote and gave my peers a space to teach people about their own passions. With a combination of my social media savvy, PhotoShop skills, passion for organization, and a few friends, I put the event together. I organized catering, invited politicians running in local elections, and even researched all the candidates to create a pamphlet with information on all of them.

I'd conquered teenage apathy, and my next quest was finding out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I knew what my strong suits were; social media, relationship building, communication, writing, graphic design, organization, planning, etc. What I DIDN'T know was that there's an entire industry out there devoted to just those skills!

Google and career coaches at my high school directed me towards the industry I would soon become so passionate about: public relations.

Sounds boring, right? That's what I thought, too. I used to think of communications as just another 9-5 office job consisting of cubicles and God-awful fluorescent lighting. What I discovered was an industry that values diversity, empathy, and (of course) staying up to date with the latest news and trends. Our industry's goal is to create real connections with real people!

Now that I'm an adult with a complex understanding of PR, I'm channeling my passion into helping small businesses grow. I know how important it is to chase what's calling you and act on the crazy ideas you have. I also know that it's hard to juggle making that idea come true while also making people aware of it.

That's where I come in. I'll take care of your social media, getting your name in the media, writing and sending newsletters, or whatever it is you need.

I truly believe that the key to success in almost every regard is good communication. Just like a romantic relationship, your consumer relationship is nothing without direct and empathetic communication and conversation. It would be my honor to help you connect with the consumers I know you care so much about!
